This month hails the start of spring, at least in most states in the US. Of course, in Maine, Mother Nature takes a little while to get up to speed, but I have seen some buds on trees, waiting for their time.
We start to dream of spring, of course, long before it has arrived, here in Maine. My latest stint in the studio has taken a decidedly springy turn. Candy hued sea pottery, china and glass, adorned with glass blossoms in uplifting hues of pink, green, purple and yellow. One can’t help but feel spring is right around the corner, with these rings and pendants! (Check the shop daily, or follow me on Facebook, as new pieces will be added each day.)
And, I am working on stock for an amazing new retailer! Stay tuned for more on that.:)
Small, despite bundled, furry layers, you stand at the mouth of the cave, marvel at its glittering face, wonder at its unknown depths…
8 Geological Wonders are new, this week!
At the doorstep to the Wood, everything feels like technicolor to the senses.
Leaves crackle underfoot, tree crowns stand stark and sweeping against the vivid sky, pine and dry grasses perfume the chill air.
An Ode to the Woods in Autumn and Winter’s Domain.
A vision in hues of sand and sea, laced with nostalgia.
Maine sea pottery shards adorned with vintage buttons, sculpted bronze wire and faceted glass in hues of Autumn.
In Maine, this is one of the most wonderful attributes of summer: Warm days, cool nights.
Toes take their first tentative steps into tepid, shallow waters. And, though summer has only just arrived, rosa rugosa, the beach rose, explodes in blooms, sweet perfume wafting on warm air.
In Maine, spring takes Her time. The trees are still bare, and the wind bites through the strengthening sunshine. Yet, spring’s inspiration still threads into my studio, tendrils twining, quietly, slowly.
5 new pieces, today!
