This month hails the start of spring, at least in most states in the US. Of course, in Maine, Mother Nature takes a little while to get up to speed, but I have seen some buds on trees, waiting for their time.
We start to dream of spring, of course, long before it has arrived, here in Maine. My latest stint in the studio has taken a decidedly springy turn. Candy hued sea pottery, china and glass, adorned with glass blossoms in uplifting hues of pink, green, purple and yellow. One can’t help but feel spring is right around the corner, with these rings and pendants! (Check the shop daily, or follow me on Facebook, as new pieces will be added each day.)
And, I am working on stock for an amazing new retailer! Stay tuned for more on that.:)
In late spring in Maine, the water still numbs hands that would venture its depths for treasure. But, a treasure-seeker will endure cold, mud, and all elements in search of some relic of the past. And, oh, the relics this spring has given.
New in the shop, today: 3 oceanic pieces!
We are offering a bountiful plunder worth more than $50! One lucky winner will receive the following:

Ah, spring. Taxtime, rebirth, peeping chicks, greenery… did I mention taxes?
Crunch time, it is. However, I have managed to create a few beauties! Here is a sampling of what is to come.
Sea ceramic in a blush hue, rosy and gilded.
Sea glass in honey-amber brown.
Perhaps you’ve noticed things have been quiet over the past day, or two. Thanks to Craigslist, I’ve acquired a rather substantial amount of locally gathered sea glass and pottery from a woman in my town who is giving up her craft and moving away.
I am both delighted and overwhelmed to have the duty of sorting it all out by color. I think it’s getting in the way of my crafting, but I’m mostly done. Just one box left. Of course, later, I will also want to sort within color by size…
More detailed photos are in my Flickr gallery.
Welcome to my blog!
I’ve Twittered, I’ve dabbled in blogging under former business names, I can even be found in the Book of Faces, and on DeviantArt. You can still find me in such places, however…
I hope that this pretty, new space will serve as a primary venue for all sundry musings, artistic and mundane.
So, let’s go!
