About Me:

I am a self-taught jewelry artist and nature fanatic, living on the coast of Maine. I share a bright, warm log home with my husband, our baby boy, my step-daughter, and our menagerie, and here I am surrounded by beauty.

About My Work:

Sojourn Curiosities specializes in Sculpted Wire, otherwise called “wire wrapped”, mixed-media jewelry.

I wrap each piece with a hand-sculpted, scrollwork style I’ve developed through years of practice and refinement.

To find my sea glass and pottery, I scour the rocky, periwinkle strewn beaches of my local communities, which are rich in shipbuilding heritage, dating back to the Golden Age of Sail.
Occasionally, my Wanderlust strikes, and I consult with select, reliable beachcombers in places like Greece, Puerto Rico and Bermuda for sea glass and pottery to adorn with my wirework.

I think of my work as part art, part artifact~ inspired by nature, fantasy and the Victorian era. I find inspiration in skeletal winter trees against sunset skies, lichens, islands, the hues of the sea…Each piece of jewelry I create will take you on a journey, to another place or time. I hope to capture the intangible, inspire a sense of wonder with my work.

Each piece has a story to tell.
